Since 2001, Aksum – Out of Africa has been a tribute to excellence and authenticity, offering a refined selection of coffee, tea, chocolate, and handcrafted creations. Inspired by the legendary Kingdom of Aksum, a historical crossroads of trade and culture, our concept invites you on a sensory journey like no other.

Our coffee, sourced directly from Ethiopia, is roasted in Brussels by a passionate family of roasters, ensuring an exceptional cup with every sip. We also offer a curated selection of premium teas, chosen by a tea sommelier, and fine Ecuadorian chocolate, known for its depth of flavor and exquisite balance.

The experience extends beyond taste. We serve a selection of handcrafted pastries and Moroccan crêpes, both sweet and savory, prepared with care to enhance every moment of indulgence.

  • Region: Kaffa & Illubabor

    Cup profile: Pleasant parfum with a sweet aroma, low acidity, and a good body, well balanced with notes of berries and cacao.

  • Region: Yirgacheffe (Gedeo Zone and Gelana Abaya Zone)

    Cup profile: intense flowers fragrance, with a delicate acidity and a well-balanced body with notes of peaches and mandarine.

  • Region: Limu (Djimmah Zone)

    Cup profile: low acidity coffee but somewhat sharp, with a slight aroma of spices and a well-balanced body. Elegant coffee, often fruit-toned, with a note of cherry and pleasantly sweet.

  • Region: the heart of the Great Rift Valley (Sidama Zone)

    Cup profile: sharp coffee with aromas of blueberries, rich acidity, and well-balanced body with a sweet floral and strawberry after-taste.

  • Region: Harar

    Cup profile: well-balanced body that stays in the mouth. It develops floral and berry notes with a low acidity. Typical Moka flavor.
